Things take time.

“Patience is not simply the ability to wait – it’s how we behave while we’re waiting.” – Joyce Meyer

After some reflection this week on how much my life has changed since my journey began, I have realized something important.

I think the key to a happy Zero Waste life is patience.

Patience with your home, and the items you have that don’t reflect your new lifestyle.

Patience with your family, while they learn to understand the new you.

Patience with the people around you. Badgering them will only make them dig their heels in. Your example is all you need to give.

Patience with society – you were where they are, not long ago.

Patience with yourself. You are learning and this is a journey.

“Great works are performed not by strength but by perseverance.” – Samuel Johnson
